The project – led by Dr Murray – is a collaboration with Mexican scholars Paula Soto-Villagrán and Olga Sabido Ramos from Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana, Ciudad de México. Bringing together UK and Mexican perspectives, the book includes a range of visual and textual narratives created by writers and artists responding to real-life experiences.
is freely available online, ensuring that students, educators, activists, and communities around the world can read, share, and use it as a resource for education, research, and advocacy.
Contributors from both the UK and Mexico have worked across media including comics, short stories, poetry, fine art, photography, 3D installations, and film. The works explore different forms of gender violence, offering readers an intimate understanding of its impacts.
